System Sensor Recalls Combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Detectors Due to Carbon Monoxide Hazard
System Sensor recalled its i4 Series combination carbon monoxide (CO)/smoke detectors on February 11, 2015. The detectors can fail to detect carbon monoxide gas in the home, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. To read more, go to our recalls and notices page.
Illinois Fire & Safety Supports Neighborhood Food Pantries
Each month, the Neighborhood Food Pantries feed many hungry people in Du Page County, Illinois. Since 1999, they've provided food security to their neighbors in need, as well as monetary assistance for housing, utilities, medical care/prescriptions, etc. This year, Illinois Fire & Safety participated in the November 7th Silent Auction Fund Raiser for the organization with the donation of a home safety kit. The evening was a great success and over $16,000 was raised to help the hungry!
